Hole by Hole Course Description

#1 The opening hole is a long par four. This hole calls for a good
tee shot down the left center of the fairway. A good drive will leave
the player with a long to mid-iron to a green that is slightly down
hill.
#2 This short par four has a two-tiered fairway. The
fairway slopes right to left, so aim to the right center of the fairway.
A good tee shot will leave the player a short iron to an elevated
green.
#3 The first par three calls for only a mid-iron to
a wide but shallow green. Beware of the false front, because any shots
that land short have a good chance of rolling down the steep slope.
There is also a severe ridge that divides the left third of the green.
#4 The tee shot on this par four calls for a shot down
the left center of the fairway that finishes 130 yards short of the
green. A more aggressive player may choose to hit a longer shot down
the right hand side of the fairway. If successful, the player will
be left with only a short iron, but this option puts the heavily wooded
area to the right and the hazard through the fairway into play. The
second shot is slightly uphill to a two tiered green.
#5 The first par five is a long one. A good drive will
leave a mid to long iron lay up shot to a two-tiered fairway. The
lay up to the right is the safer route, but this fairway ends at 100
yards out. This will leave the player with a short downhill third
shot over a rocky creek bed.
#6 The tee-shot on this short par four plays slightly
uphill. A good tee shot will leave a short to mid-iron to a slightly
elevated green. The deepest bunker on the golf course guards the right
hand side of this green.
#7 This dogleg left par four is one of the hardest holes
on the course. Avoid the bunkers on the left and the trees through
the fairway. The second shot calls for a long iron to a well-protected
green.
#8 This short par five is a perfect example of a Fazio
risk/reward hole. The tee shot should be aimed down the right center
of the fairway. The fairway slopes away from the player and to the
left. Long hitters may want to hit a three wood to avoid going through
the fairway. A good drive will leave a long iron or fairway wood to
a deep green. The landing area short of the green slopes right to
left, and will feed balls toward the creek that protects the front
left portion of this green. The green runs away from the player and
to the left.
#9 This picturesque par three plays slightly down hill.
The hill to the right may deflect shots back towards the green, but
the bunker on the hill leaves the player with an extremely difficult
second.
#10 The tee shot on this par four plays severely down
hill. A good drive will leave the player with a short to mid iron
to a slightly elevated green. This front portion of this green is
very narrow, but the back part of the green is much easier to find.
#11 The tee shot on this par four has a dogleg to the right. A good
drive placed down the right center of the fairway will leave the player
with a short to mid-iron to a narrow two-tiered green.
#12 This short par four is reachable for some players.
A long iron lay-up shot will leave the player with only a wedge to
the green. A hazard awaits any shots that are long or right of the
green, and a deep pot bunker guards the left-hand side of the green..
#13 A hazard runs down the entire left-hand side of
this long par four. An ideal tee shot is aimed at the right center
of the fairway. A player will be left with a long iron to a narrow
green that slopes right to left and front to back.
#14 This par three plays slightly downhill. Over the
green is severely sloped, so a precise shot is required to reach the
back portion of this green.
#15 The fairway of this medium length par five starts
wide and then narrows considerably as it approaches the green. A good
tee shot will finish just left of the fairway bunker and will leave
the player a long iron or fairway wood to a narrow and deep green.
The landing area short of the green slopes right to left toward the
hazard.
#16 This par four has a dogleg to the right. The tee
shot calls for a shot down the right center of the fairway. The second
shot is all carry over a waterfall creek. A rock wall is positioned
over the green, so distance control is a must.
#17 The last par three is the longest on the course.
A deep bunker awaits any shots that stray to the left. The green is
deep but very narrow. The bailout is short and right. Par is a great
score.
#18 The finishing hole is a fantastic par five. A long
tee shot will allow long hitters an opportunity to reach this green
in two. The shot to the green plays extremely uphill, so club accordingly.
A player wishing to lay up has two options. The player can either
lay up short of the hazard with a mid-iron, which will leave a blind
short iron to the elevated green. The other option is to hit a long
iron or wood to the upper deck left of the hazard, which will leave
the player a wedge shot with a clear view of the flag.
