Mrs. Marge Mason, of Englewood, N.J., set a new scoring record of 236 for 54-hole Senior Amateur Championship at the Atlantic City Country Club, Northfield, N.J., and won by four strokes over Mrs. Hulet P. Smith, of Pebble Beach, Calif. The old record was 239, set by Mrs. Allison Choate and Miss Maureen Orcutt, of Englewood, N.J., in 1963.

Mrs. Mason opened with 77 and was two strokes ahead of Mrs. Smith. She added 80 in the second round to take a three-stroke lead, and had a closing 79. Miss Orcutt, the defending Champion, scored 258 and never was a factor.
